EPW World Title Last Man Standing Match

On the July 2nd episode of RiOT, the dreams of a soon to debut superstar in Maxwell Sangerus were shattered when Kazakov Harkov made an example out of him. Jesse Jamester came to the rescue of the young man, but he was too late as the damage was already done. Later on in the night, Jesse Jamester was all set for his coronation as champion, but could not get over the fact that Harkov had destroyed the hopes and dreams of the young Maxwell Sangerus earlier on in the night and thus called Harkov out. Jamester put up a fight, but the big Russian ended up getting the last laugh as he locked the champ in the Crimson Mask.

The following week on RiOT, Harkov assaulted two more EPW superstars as he took out both Raz and Lupus Feral. For his actions, Harkov was fined $10,000 and banned from the arena until further notice. Jamester arrived at the arena late and approached Richard Rush demanding a Last Man Standing Match with Harkov. Rush granted his request, setting up the main event for Soul Survivor.

On the July 16th episode of RiOT, Harkov's manager, Kitiara successfully lobbied to have Richard Rush reinstate the big Russian. Harkov would once again go on to assault two more EPW superstars as he made an example out of Bartholomew Finkle and Marshall Hamilton Foxe. Surprisingly, Harkov was not reprimanded for his actions. Later on in the night, Jesse Jamester took on another Russian superstar as he faces Raskolnikov. Harkov and Kitiara came down to the announce table prior to the match and provided commentary. The two sat back and watched until Harkov interfered and assaulted Jamester just as he was about to pick up the win. Harkov slammed the head of the champion into the steel ring post, causing him to bleed significantly. As the champion lie motionless on the mat, all the big Russian could do is stare down and laugh and the fallen champ.

At Soul Survivor, there truly will be only one survivor in the match between Jamester and Harkov. Only one man will be left standing when it's all said and done. Will the champion prevail, defeating a second seven-foot monster in the span of a month or will the Russian take the gold?

Soul Survivor Four-Way Elimination Match
Lantlas vs. Alex Grey vs. Phil Burgess vs. Thomas Young

The second ever Soul Survivor Tournament kicked off with the July 2nd episode of RiOT. 16 men entered the tournament as they were randomly teamed up in four Tag Team Matches. Both members of each winning team would advance to the second round.

On the July 9th episode of RiOT the remaining 8 superstars would compete in four Singles Matches in which the superstars who teaming up the previous week would face each other. The four winners would advance to the finals.

The following week we would see a quasi preview of the Soul Survivor Finals as all four men would be in the ring at once. It was scheduled to be Lantlas & Alex Grey taking on Phil Burgess & Thomas Young, but due to an incident that occurred outside of a Hooters the previous week, Thomas Young was arrested prior to the match, leaving Phil Burgess to fend for himself. Phil's brother Danny stepped in and the two put up a fight despite losing to the formidable duo of Alex Grey & Lantlas.

At Soul Survivor, only one can survive as Lantlas, Alex Grey, Thomas Young and Phil Burgess will compete in a Four-Way Elimination Match where the winner will earn a shot at the EPW World Championship.

Singles Match
John "The Prophet" Adams vs. Mystery Opponent

The story of John Adams really takes a turn when he lost the EPW World Championship to Jesse Jamester on the June 27th episode of Aggression.

Throughout the match with Jamester, The Prophet didn't seem to be himself as he ended up losing the title that he had held since May 7, 2008.

On the July 2nd episode of RiOT, Dennis Dorman caught up with John Adams as he was entering the arena as he attempted to get the former champion's thoughts. Before John Adams could respond, he was rushed by five security guards that informed him that he was not to be allowed into the arena that night. John Adams had a scuffle with the guards until EPW Executive Chairman, Stephen Cardin stepped in. John Adams attempted to strike a security guard, but ended up accidentally knocking out Cardin. John Adams was finally escorted from the building as medics checked on Mr. Cardin.

Just after RiOT, it had been announced that John Adams had been suspended indefinitely for his actions as the injuries that Mr. Cardin suffered would keep him out of action for a lengthly amount of time.

On the July 9th episode of RiOT, there was much speculation as to who would step in an lead the company with Stephen Cardin gone. Tom Conway was one of the names mentioned, but it ended up being Richard Rush who came out and announced that he was in fact the President of the company that purchased Evolution Pro Wrestling back in April. Richard Rush and John Adams have been feuding for years in what can only be described as the most heated feud in the history of Evolution Pro Wrestling. Richard Rush announced that because of his actions, he would be releasing John Adams from the company. The Prophet fought through security and confronted Richard Rush, but calmed down when Rush threatened a lawsuit. With that, John Adams walked out of the arena for what would most likely be the last time.

The following week on RiOT, Richard Rush held a "tribute" to the career of John Adams. The so called tribute started out well as Rush showed clips of a few of The Prophet's biggest wins, but Rush' true motives were revealed as he showed clips of John Adams losing to Jesse Jamester. Richard Rush proceeded to put down John Adams until suddenly The Prophet made another surprise appearance. In what was extremely out of character for Adams, he admitted that he was wrong and told Richard Rush that he was sorry for all of the trouble that was cause. Richard Rush surprisingly offered Adams a chance to get his job back only if he can defeat a mystery opponent at Soul Survivor.

John Adams hasn't been himself since losing the championship. Will this be his downfall or will his new attitude allow him to turn a corner as he attempts to get his job as well as his livelihood back?

EPW Evolution Title Match
Upton Osgood vs. Kevin Richardson

The rivalry between Kevin Richardson and Upton Osgood can only be described as unorthodox. It all started when Kevin Richardson earned a shot at the Evolution Championship by winning a 10-Man Battle Royal last month at Higher Stakes.

On the July 2nd episode of RiOT, the champion and challenger would team up as Upton Osgood and Kevin Richardson took on the team of Jonny Cromartie and Jayson Mayne. Osgood and Richardson surprisingly worked fairly well as a team as they earned the win.

The following week, Upton Osgood would take on Marshall Hamilton Foxe with Kevin Richardson as the special referee. Kevin Richardson surprisingly called the match down the middle and even prevented Foxe from using a chair during the match. Later on that night, Richardson and Osgood would have an in ring discussion that could be likened to a therapy session.

On the July 16th episode of RiOT, Kevin Richardson would cut a heated promo on Upton Osgood as he referenced amongst other things, religion. Later that night, Richardson would inexplicably announce that he had earned himself a license to be an official EPW referee.

At Soul Survivor, will Kevin Richardson's mind games pay off?

EPW Tag Team Title Match
Killer Pirates of the Outer Caribbean vs. King For O'Dea

The Killer Pirates have been coasting since winning the EPW Tag Team Championships back at Higher Stakes, but this Sunday they will face their toughest challenge yet as they take on the formidable team of Lennon O'Dea and Malcolm Dred-King.

EPW Legacy Title Match
Dean Mathers vs. The HIT

The feud between Dean Mathers and The HIT all started when both men made the final three of the 10-Man Battle Royal Match.

On the June 27th episode of Aggression, Dean Mathers and The HIT would attempt to settle their differences, but the rivalry just continued as both men fought to a double count-out.

The following week on the July 2nd episode of RiOT, it would be the luck of the draw that would see Dean Mathers and The HIT team up as part of the Soul Survivor Tournament. Needless to say, Dean Mathers and The HIT would not be able to work as a team and thus lost the match to Thomas Young and Vince Jones.

The following week on RiOT, Tom Conway would return to EPW for one night only as he would present the Legacy Championship to Dean Mathers. The show took place on July 9th and was the 4th anniversary of the death of Dean's brother Shawn. As part of the tribute, Dean Mathers was declared the Legacy Champion. The HIT took exception to this as he came out and challenged Dean Mathers to put that title on the line at the pay-per-view and earn it.

At Soul Survivor, one man will earn the right to be called the new Legacy Champion.

Singles Match
Shawn Singleton vs. B-Boy

This match was added to the pay-per-view at the last minute to do an incident that took place between the two men on the July 16th episode of RiOT.

On the July 16th episode of RiOT Shawn Singleton got in an altercation with Devon Drake causing B-Boy to step in. The two had a heated exchange of words, setting up the match for Soul Survivor.
